Job Description - Marketing Innovator (10)
An unpaid, but for course credit, internship experience on campus at the Marshall School of Business at USC may include the following:
- Work with our Marketing team and learn by doing branding, promotions, events, ad sales, trade marketing and overall strategic marketing vision for the network
- Help us perfect our value proposition for high school and college-aged users and beyond
- Realize user and client needs; help us balance these often conflicting interests
- Redefine the social networking market by helping us make Palopia the leading service
- Evaluate Palopia's feature range, content offering, and total user experience compared to its competitors
- Brainstorm and execute new ways to improve the Palopia brand, experience, and vision
A qualified candidate for the Marketing Innovator internship position must possess the following:

An unpaid, but for course credit, internship experience on campus at the Marshall School of Business at USC may include the following:
- Work with our Marketing team and learn by doing branding, promotions, events, ad sales, trade marketing and overall strategic marketing vision for the network
- Research, plan, and lead engaging promotional events and campaigns (including but not limited to: parties, word-of-mouth, wild posting, giveaways, contests, and film/video segments for web as well as TV release)
- Master team and venture press releases, act as media/press liaison
- Work with PR firm to increase product placement, endorsement, and coverage
- Redefine the social networking market by helping us make Palopia the leading service
- Brainstorm and execute new ways to improve the Palopia brand, experience, and vision
A qualified candidate for the Promotions Coordinator internship position must possess the following:

Job Description - User Interface/Graphic Designer (3)
An unpaid, but for course credit, internship experience on campus at the Marshall School of Business at USC may include the following:
- Assist in designing the interface for Palopia's online social networking
- Provide creative input and support through various stages of the design process as a key player in the design team.
- Work with development team to mockup and create new features and content
- Design brilliant webpage CSS themes for users to call Palopia all their own
- Design ability to create web layouts and interfaces, custom graphics and icons, etc.
- Maintain graphic standards and corporate branding throughout the service
- Design breakthrough and trend-setting online ads (everything but pop-ups)
- Help us tell Palopia's story and make its brand come alive by engaging users and the public through a unique and inspiring messaging strategy
A qualified candidate for the User Interface Designer internship positions must possess the following:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Well developed communications and interpersonal skills - you inspire teamwork
- The ability to demonstrate your creative brilliance through expertise of Adobe Photoshop, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), HTML, and other graphic apps of your choosing
- Comfortable optimizing graphics for the web in size and quantity, as well as a strong understanding of HTML based-design limitations required
- Proficiency in utilizing software applications and internet research
- Portfolio of prior works a plus, a great can-do attitude a must

An unpaid, but for course credit, internship experience on campus at the Marshall School of Business at USC may include the following:
- Work on both independent and group projects--aiming to expose the Palopia brand to potential users through the of creative genius of our PR and ad campaigns
- Provide creative input and support through various stages of the design process as a key player in the design team
- Work with marketing team to create legendary and buzzworthy ads
- Maintain graphic standards and corporate branding throughout the service
- Design breakthrough and trend-setting marketing collateral (including, but not limited to: magazine spreads, web banner ads, posters, wall art, flyers, and apparel)
- Prepare creative concepts, designs and layouts for advertising, identity, communications and web site campaigns
- Tell Palopia's story and make its brand come alive by engaging users and the public through a unique and inspiring messaging strategy
A qualified candidate for the Graphic Designer internship positions must possess the following:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Well developed communications and interpersonal skills - you inspire teamwork
- The ability to demonstrate your creative brilliance through expertise of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator (or Macromedia Freehand) and other graphic apps of your choosing
- Creative, out-of-the-box, conventional thinking that makes you and Palopia stand out

- Provide quality research and planning for IP efforts and actions
- Work with external legal teams to execute IP and corporate law actions
- Assist Palopia's CFO in the potential corporate restructuring
- Realize user and client needs; help us balance these often conflicting interests
- Provide general legal advice to Palopia team members in marketing, ad sales/content partners, development, and promotions
- Evaluate Palopia's strategies and provide recommendations for improvement
- Brainstorm and execute new ways to improve the Palopia brand, experience, and vision among corporate clients as well as young consumers
A qualified candidate for the Intellectual Property + Law internship position must possess the following:

- Monitor social and popular cultural trends, recommend how Palopia can best understand and utilize these trends
- Examine the way music, technology, knowledge, and emotion effects young people, social networking, and human interaction
- Evaluate Palopia's strategies and provide recommendations for improvement
- Work with the marketing and development teams to better serve user needs

- Conduct research in the study of how social circles among high school and college students utilize mobile devices and technology
- Examine competitors and 3rd party mobile device integration efforts
- Evaluate Palopia's (and its competitors') ability to serve users' mobile needs
- Monitor mobile technology trends and breakthroughs, recommend how Palopia can best understand and utilize these trends
- Examine the way mobile integration can help facilitate the interaction/utilization of music, technology, knowledge, friendship, and emotion among social circles
- Evaluate Palopia's strategies and provide recommendations for improvement
- Work with the marketing and development teams to better serve user needs
